Mariucci Arena / 3M Arena at Mariucci
  1993 mariucci arena

In the fall of 1993 the Gopher hockey team moved into their new home across the street from their old home, "The Barn" (now the Maturi Pavilion).  On August 21, 1993 the Gophers introduced their new home to their fans by holding a special Hockey Alumni Legends Game.

As someone once said "the more things change, the more they stay the same".  In 1970 the Gophers played Wisconsin in front of the largest combined attendance in the history of "The Barn".  On November 5th and 6th in 2004, the Gophers beat Wisconsin twice in front of a combined crowd of 20,777.  So far, this is the largest two game series in the new Mariucci Arena.

In 2017 Mariucci Arena was renamed to 3M Arena at Mariucci.
