Here you find photos taken in February 1993 of the banner wall in Mariucci Arena.  On the other side of this wall was the basketball arena.

The gophers defended this end of the ice twice during games.  If a puck hit the sloped ceiling the puck was considered out of play.

Standing room seats were on either side on this end of the ice.  Maybe most important, the ice cream concession stands were on the other side of this wall.  Between periods is was extremely difficult to walk on this side of the arena because of the long lines.
